专利说明:

The invention refers to a domestic refrigerator apparatus with means for
5 install an ice maker. There are domestic refrigerating devices or domestic refrigerating appliances that are not equipped with an ice maker. However, ice machines are sold as an accessory for such refrigeration devices or refrigeration devices. Therefore, ice making machines or ice making devices can be installed in
10 such refrigeration appliances.
However, in such a case, the refrigerating apparatus must have means to install or arrange the ice maker as an accessory element to the refrigerating apparatus. In order to provide, for example, ice cubes, crushed ice and / or ice water, the ice maker must be supplied with power and water. In this context, there are refrigerators available in the market that have a pre-installation for the ice maker. Here, there is a visible and touchable electrical outlet or outlet for connecting an ice machine cable. Such means for installing an ice maker may pose a threat to the user wishing to install the ice maker. In addition, the plug open
20 may represent a danger to a user who approaches his hands when placing products in a domestic refrigerator or when removing products from the refrigerator.
In the event that other more complex means of installation for an ice maker are present in commercially available refrigeration devices, the
The conventional user cannot carry out the installation of the ice maker himself.
Therefore, the present invention solves the technical problem of providing a domestic refrigeration apparatus of the type mentioned at the beginning with better means for installing an ice maker.
30 This technical problem is solved by means of a domestic refrigerating apparatus with the characteristics of claim 1. The advantageous configurations with others

Convenient developments of the invention are drawn from the dependent claims.
The domestic refrigerating apparatus according to the invention comprises means for installing an ice maker. Here, the means comprise a lining with a base part in which a clamping section is provided for an electrical outlet of the cooling apparatus. The coating comprises a second part, which is formed as a cover for the base part. The cover cannot be accidentally removed, requiring the use of tools to be removed. Providing the lining, where the base part is covered by the cover, it is not possible to touch the electrical outlet or connector provided by the cooling apparatus and, therefore, it is not accessible to the user. In other words, no contact can be made between the user and the power supply of the domestic refrigerator, which can have a voltage of 120 V. Therefore, the means for installing the ice maker are particularly safe.
Likewise, the user can separate the cover from the base part and thus introduce a connector of a cable of the ice maker into the electrical outlet disposed within the clamping section of the base part. Therefore, it is particularly easy for the user to install the ice maker. Thus, the domestic refrigerating apparatus comprises better means for installing the ice maker.
Preferably, the base part has a housing space for an ice machine cable and a cable connector. The cable connector can be connected to the electrical outlet. In this way, electric power ice can be supplied to the ice maker, which is provided by the cooling apparatus.
The clamping section for the electrical outlet can be arranged in a side wall of the base part, which delimits the accommodation space for the ice machine cable. In particular, when the clamping section is provided on a side wall of the base part, where the side wall delimits the accommodation space, a fairly large distance between the metal parts of the electrical outlet and the plastic parts of the coating can be achieved. By way of example, the minimum distances between the plastic parts and the essential parts (i.e. the metal parts that are connected to the power supply of the cooling apparatus), which are defined in the UL 250 standard, can be respected.

Since a fairly large safety distance can be achieved between the metal parts fed from the electrical outlet and the plastic components of the coating, compliance with fire resistance regulations and fire protection properties provided by the plastic that forms the coating. This is due to the fact that, for example, a distance of almost 30 mm can be provided between the metal parts fed by the power supply and the plastic material of the coating. Accordingly, the coating and all plastic parts of the coating meet the UL requirements.
Preferably, the base part has a first recess, which is located at one end of the housing space. Preferably, the cover has a second recess, where the two recesses are configured to cooperate to provide a passage for the ice machine cable. By means of these cooperating recesses, a connection piece for the cable or connection piece for the flexible conductor can be provided, which is configured to withstand a cable pull force specified in a cable pull strength test. The recesses can be configured to withstand the extraction force specified in the UL 250 standard.
In particular, each recess may be configured to accommodate a half of the cable section. In this way, the cable can be completely wrapped by the material of the edge of the housing space, which forms the first hollow, on the one hand, and by a channel wall that forms the second hollow, on the other hand. By wrapping or gripping the cable of the ice maker, which is arranged or housed in the space provided by the two dumps, it is possible to prevent water from entering the housing space through the cable passage.
Preferably, a channel wall that forms the second recess is inclined downward. By this inclination of the cable entry of the ice machine, no water can enter the lining or the frame as a result of gravity. Therefore, even the water that flows over the ice machine cable, over the liner cover, or over the ice machine itself, does not enter the housing space through the cable passage.
Preferably, the base part has a frame area surrounding the housing space. Here, in the frame area, sealant means are provided to seal the housing space that is covered by the cover. Through this provision

Tightness of the cover on the base part, water entry into the housing space can easily be prevented, also at points other than the passage for the cable. Therefore, liquid or water can be prevented from coming into contact with the connector
or the cable of the ice maker or the electrical outlet of the refrigerator.
It is possible to achieve a particularly simple and secure sealing of the housing space if the sealing means comprise a notch that surrounds the housing space and a rib that surrounds the housing space. Here, the nerve is inserted in the notch when the cover is fixed to the base part. By means of a perimetric nerve of this type introduced in a perimetric notch, it is very effective to prevent water from entering the accommodation space. Also, no sealing material is necessary to make the sealing of the housing space possible. This causes the coating costs to be reduced.
The notch may be formed in the frame area of the base part. Then, the nerve is provided next to the cover. In alternative configurations, the rib may be provided in the frame area, and the notch may be provided in the cover. In particular if the notch is formed in the frame area of the base part, the notch preferably has at least one opening in a lower section of the notch. Through such an opening or hole in the lower section of the notch, even the water that has been able to enter the notch is evacuated through the opening.
Preferably, the base part has at least a first mounting element for fixing the ice maker to the liner. Such a mounting element can be provided, in particular, in the frame area of the base part, and is preferably formed as a reinforcing screw. Such a mounting element is provided by the lining, and other parts of the cooling apparatus can be easily prevented from deteriorating as a result of the installation of the ice maker.
Alternatively or additionally, the base part may have at least a second mounting element for fixing the cover to the base part. This second mounting element, formed in particular as a reinforcing screw, can be provided in the housing space. This makes possible a particularly simple fixation of the cover to the base part. Likewise, by arranging the mounting elements for the cover in a different location than the mounting elements for the ice maker, it is easy to prevent the ice maker from being improperly installed.

Preferably, the cover has at least one opening provided for a fixing element that fixes the cover to the base part if the fixing element is inserted into the opening. The opening can be provided, in particular, in a reinforcing screw, if a screw is used as a fixing element to fix the cover to the base part. Such an arrangement makes possible a particularly robust fixing of the cover to the base part.
Preferably, the cover has at least one projection. Here, a final section of the at least one projection is inserted into a corresponding opening of the base part. By way of example, the projection can be inserted into a slot provided in a side wall that delimits the accommodation space of the base part. By means of such a configuration, a previous fixation of the cover to the base part can be carried out by inserting or introducing the final sections of, for example, two projections in two corresponding grooves provided in the side wall. The cover, which is therefore arranged in the correct position with respect to the base part, can then be firmly fixed to the cover, for example, by screws. By tightening the screws, a close contact between the cover and the base part can be achieved, in particular, by introducing the perimetric nerve into the perimeter notch.
Preferably, at least one rib is provided on one side of the cover that is located in front of the base part and / or at least one rib is provided within the housing space of the base part. Such ribs, which hold the ice machine cable disposed in the housing space, also increase the resistance of the liner against an extraction of the ice machine cable. Therefore, particularly good retention geometry can be provided by such ribs.
In order to fix the cable of the ice maker particularly well within the housing space, the housing space may have a reduced depth in an area close to the first emptying, which provides in cooperation with the second emptying the passage for the cable, where the depth of the housing space is greater in the area of the clamping section for the electrical outlet of the cooling apparatus.
Preferably, the liner is fixed to a side wall of an inner container of the cooling apparatus. Here, the base part may be disposed within a recess provided in the side wall. Also, the frame area of the base part may be flush with side wall sections of the inner container that

surround the base part. In other words, the side wall of the inner container can be adapted to accommodate the base part of the lining. If, in such a case, there is no ice maker disposed next to the domestic refrigerator, the liner does not require space within the inner container of the refrigerator. Therefore, the inner container particularly provides a lot of space for the products to be introduced into the refrigerating apparatus.
Preferably, the domestic refrigerator has a conduit for supplying water to the ice maker. Said duct can be a simple sleeve or flexible tube located next to a rear wall or rear wall of the inner container of the cooling apparatus. Through this conduit, the inlet or water supply is provided to guide the water to the ice maker.
The features and combinations of features mentioned above in the description, as well as the features and combinations of features mentioned below in the description of the figures and / or shown alone in the figures are usable not only in the combination indicated in each case, but also in other combinations or individually, without abandoning the scope of the invention. Therefore, it should be understood that those implementations that are not explicitly shown in the figures or explained, but that can be extracted through combinations of features separate from the exposed implementations are also understood and disclosed by the invention.
Therefore, those embodiments and combinations of features that do not have all the characteristics of an independent claim originally drafted will also be considered disclosed.

Fig. 11 the freezer according to figure 10 with the ice maker installed inside the freezer.
Figure 1 shows a base part 1 of a liner, which is used to equip a domestic refrigerator such as a freezer 2 (see figure 5) with an ice maker 3 (see figure 11). There are household refrigerators that already comprise an ice maker 3 of this type, and there are household refrigerators that allow the installation of the ice maker 3 as an accessory part. Said installation of the ice maker 3 as an accessory part is possible by equipping the freezer 2 with the lining comprising the base part 1 shown in Figure 1 and a cover 11 shown in Figure 6.
In the example shown in the figures, the domestic refrigerator is the freezer 2. However, the domestic refrigerator can also be a combination of a refrigerator and a freezer.

The freezer 2 is partially shown in Figure 5, where the freezer door 2 is open. The freezer 2 has, in a manner known as such, a frame 4 or outer lining, in which an inner container 5 is arranged. The inner container 5 delimits a storage space 6 for the products to be placed in the freezer 2 Also, there are 7 drawers arranged inside the inner container 5. Products can also be placed in the drawers
7. The inner container 5 has a first side wall 8, a second side wall 9, a rear wall 10, as well as an upper wall and a lower wall (not shown).
The drawers 7 can be extracted and introduced along the depth direction (z axis) of the freezer 2. The height direction (y axis) and the width direction (x axis) of the inner container 5 and the Freezer 2, respectively, are also indicated in Figure 5 for illustration.
The indications "top", "bottom", "top", "bottom", "floor", "horizontal", "vertical", "depth direction", "width direction", "direction of the height ”, and the like, refer to the positions and orientations of the refrigerating apparatus in its intended use position with respect to an observer located in front of the refrigerating apparatus and observing towards it.
In order to arrange the ice maker 3 inside the inner container 5, in particular to mount the ice maker 3 next to the side wall 8, the lining comprising the base part 1 shown in Figure 1 and the cover is provided 11 shown in Figure 6. The lining comprising the base part 1 and the cover 11 serves as a reinforcing structure for the freezer 2, where this reinforcing structure allows the installation of the ice maker 3. To achieve this, the part base 1 is arranged in a recess provided in the side wall 8 (see figure 5).
The base part 1 comprises a clamping section 12 for fixing an electrical outlet of the freezer 2. In the example shown, the clamping section 12 is formed as a rectangular channel, in which the electrical outlet, plug or outlet is arranged. for supplying electric power to the ice maker 3. Guides 13 may be provided within the clamping section 12 to facilitate the correct insertion of the electrical outlet into the clamping section 12 (see Figure 4).
The base part 1, which is made of plastic, has a housing space 14 through which the cable of the ice maker 3 passes when a connector of the

cable of the ice maker 3 is inserted into the electrical outlet fixed in the clamping section 12. The clamping section 12 protrudes from a side wall 15 that delimits the housing space 14 on one side. In other words, the rectangular channel structure that forms the clamping section 12 ends in the side wall 15 that delimits the housing space 14 (see Figure 5).
In another side wall 16, which delimits the housing space 14, opposite the side wall 15, a first recess 17 is provided on an edge of the side wall 16. The first recess 17 cooperates with a second recess 18 which is formed by a channel wall 19 of the cover 11 (see Figure 6). When the cover 11 is fixed to the base part 1, the two voids 17, 18 cooperate to form a passage for the ice maker cable 3. In other words, the cable can pass from the housing space 14 to through the passage delimited by the edge of the side wall 16 that forms the first recess 17, on the one hand, and by the channel wall 19 that forms the second recess 18, on the other side. The cable passes through the passage to the surrounding environment. However, since the cable is secured between the base part 1 and the cover 11 in the area of the two recesses 17, 18, water cannot enter the housing space 14 once the cover 11 is fixed to the part base 1. In addition, the housing space 14 is delimited by a lower side wall 20, which can be seen in Figure 1, and by an upper side wall 21, whose outer part can be seen in Figure 2.
A frame area 22 of the base part 1 surrounds the housing space 14, where the frame area 22 is formed as an essentially rectangular plate section. Within this frame area 22 two mounting elements are provided in the form of reinforcement screws 23. These reinforcement screws 23 make it possible to fix the ice maker 3 to the lining and, consequently, to the side wall 8 of the freezer 2 (see figure 11).
In the frame area 22, sealing means are provided for sealing the housing space 14 once the cover 11 is fixed to the base part 1. These sealing means comprise a perimeter notch 24 surrounding the housing space 14. The perimeter notch 24 is provided in the frame area 22. In a lower section 25 of the perimeter notch 24 two openings 26 are provided. Through these two openings 26, water entering the perimeter notch 24 can be evacuated.
As can also be seen in Figure 1, next to a rear wall 28 that delimits the housing space 14, the reinforcing ribs 27 are arranged.

These reinforcing ribs 27 cooperate with the ribs 29 arranged on one side of the cover 11 which is directed towards the base part 1 when the cover 11 is fixed to the base part 1. By means of these ribs 27, 29 in cooperation with the hollows 17 , 18, it can be prevented that the cable of the ice maker 3 can be easily removed from the sheathing comprising the base part 1 and the cover 11 fixed to the base part 1. In particular, the sheathing comprising the base part 1 and the cover 11 may be designed to resist an extraction force of at least 89 N applied to the cable of the ice maker 3 by one person.
On the outer part of the housing space 14, that is, on the separated side of the cable and the connector disposed within the housing space 14, the base part 1 may have reinforcing ribs 30, 31 (see Figures 2 and 3) . The reinforcing ribs 30 are configured to reinforce the walls that delimit the housing space 14, while the reinforcing ribs 31 extend into the frame area 22 (see Figure 3).
Within the housing space 14, the base part 1 has two other mounting elements in the form of other reinforcement screws 32. These reinforcement screws 32 are provided to fix the cover 11 to the base part 1 (see Figure 10). In Figure 2, it can be seen that the depth of the housing space 14 decreases from the clamping section 12 towards the cable outlet provided by the first recess 17 cooperating with the second recess 18.
In Figure 4, it can be seen how the housing of the clamping section 12 allows the electrical outlet of the freezer 2 to be correctly placed inside the clamping section 12. Here, a minimum distance between the metal parts of the outlet is respected electrical and the material of the clamping section 12, as defined in the UL 250 standard. For example, with a distance between the plastic parts of the base part 1 and the metal parts connected to the power supply of the freezer 2 of almost 30 mm, a minimum requirement with respect to the fire protection of the base part 1 is sufficient to meet the UL 250 standard.
Figure 5 shows the base part 1 installed inside the freezer 2, where the base part 1 is embedded in the emptying provided in the side wall 8 of the inner container 5. A duct 33 of the freezer 2, which can pass through the rear wall 10 of the inner container 5, makes it possible to supply water to the ice maker 3. It can also be seen in Figure 5 that, inside the wall

lateral 15 that delimits the housing space 14, two grooves 34 or openings of this type can be provided.
When the cover 11 is fixed to the base part 1, the final sections 35 of two flange-shaped projections 36 of the cover 11 (see Figure 9) are inserted in the grooves 34 provided in the side wall 15 of the base part 1 (see figure 5). Therefore, these tabs 36 with the end sections 35 serve as additional fixing ribs for fixing the cover 11 to the base part 1. When the cover 11 is preset to the base part 1 by inserting the end sections 35 into the grooves 34, a perimetric nerve 37 (see Figure 6) provided on one side of the cover 11 directed towards the base part 1 is correctly positioned with respect to the perimeter notch 24. The cover 11 being pressed towards the base part 1, the perimeter nerve 37 is introduced in the perimeter notch 24. This seals the housing space 14 in the circumferential direction. In order to completely and firmly fix the cover 11 to the base part 1, fixing screws are inserted through openings 38 provided in reinforcement screws 39 of the cover 11 (see Figure 7).
From Figures 7 and 8, it can be seen particularly well that the channel wall 19 that forms the second hollow 18 or half connection piece for flexible conductor (half cable connection piece) for the cable of the making machine Ice 3 is tilted down. Therefore, water cannot enter the housing space 14 following gravity through the passage for the ice maker cable 3. As a support solution, a sponge may be provided within the housing space 14, specifically, around or on the cable of the ice maker 3.
Figure 9 shows the cover 11 in a side view, in which the generally flat shape of the cover 11 and the protruding perimeter rib 37 can be seen particularly well. When the ice maker 3 is installed or mounted next to the freezer 2, the electrical outlet disposed within the clamping section 12 of the base part 1 is accessible to the ice maker cable connector 3 if the cover 11 it is separated from the base part 1 (see figure 5). To supply water to the ice maker 3, the conduit 33 may be connected to the ice maker 3. Then, the connector or plug of the ice maker cable 3 is inserted into the electrical outlet of the cooling apparatus or freezer 2, which is located in clamping section 12 or connector support. Accordingly, electric power can be provided to the ice maker 3.

Then, the cable of the ice maker 3 is guided through the housing space 14 towards the emptying 17. Next, the cover 11 or cover part is fixed to the base part 1 or main part. Here, first the final sections 35 are introduced in the grooves 34. Then, the front or cover part 11 is moved or turned slightly to the position in which the perimetric rib 37 is fitted in the perimeter notch 24. Next, the cover 11 is screwed to the base part 1 by two screws. For this, the two screws are introduced into the openings 38 provided in the reinforcement screws 39 of the cover 11, and continue to be introduced in the reinforcement screws 32 arranged inside the housing space 14 of the base part 1 (see figures 6 and 1).
Then, the screws are tightened, and the perimetric nerve 37 disposed in the perimeter notch 24 circumferentially seals the housing space 14. This situation is shown in Figure 10, but without the cable of the ice maker 3 passing through the passage for the cable provided by the two hollows 17, 18. As a last step, the ice maker 3 is fixed to the base part 1 by the two screws inserted in the reinforcement screws 23 provided in the frame area 22 of the base part 1.
By means of this reinforcement structure comprising the base part 1 and the cover 11, a simple integrated and UL certified system for fixing the ice maker 3 to the freezer 2 is provided. All the requirements of the UL standards are met, as well as the assembly requirements. The area in which the cable connector of the ice maker 3 is connected to the electrical outlet of the freezer 2 is not accessible and is sealed by the cover 11 or part of the plastic cover. The fixing of the cable of the ice maker 3 in the two hollows 17, 18 meets the requirements related to the extraction force of the UL standard. Also, the mounting elements for fixing the ice maker 3 are also provided by the cladding, in the example shown, by the reinforcement screws 23 provided in the frame area 22.
Additionally, a support in the form of a clamping section 12 for the connector or electrical outlet provided on the side of the freezer 2 is disposed within the same part in the form of the base part 1. The distances required by UL standards in relation to at the minimum distances between the metal parts fed by the power supply and the plastic parts. With the cover 11 fixed to the base part 1, the user cannot access the power supply of the freezer 2.

The design of the lining comprising the base part 1 and the cover 11 also meets the requirements related to water spillage. Since only two parts form the lining and since these parts are easy to assemble, better means are provided for installing the ice maker 3 inside the freezer 2.
